The value of community is infinite.
We thank you for being part of it.

Please become a member of our organization by making a donation. Berkshire Community Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) education nonprofit founded in 2015 by Community Land Trust in the Southern Berkshires to serve all of Berkshire County with programs that increase public awareness of the interconnectedness of land values, social diversity, food security and economic opportunity. We hope to acquire new land for community use and support the development of new community land trusts. A community land trust is a democratic system for managing the Commons. It manages community-owned land to ensure permanent access, control, affordability and stewardship of the land for homes, farms and businesses, now and for future generations. Members of Community Land Trust in the Southern Berkshires are automatically members of Berkshire Community Land Trust. We invite all residents of the Berkshires to join.

To ensure membership is accessible and representative, our annual dues are $10 or 10 BerkShares per household. Your donation funds our education programs and the acquisition of land. Members are invited to our Annual Meeting and elect our Board of Trustees. Members may receive notification by postal mail when homes on our land become available for sale, and may have the opportunity to purchase the property before the sale is open to the general public. This year’s annual meeting will take place in April.

To make a donation of land, please call (413) 528-4472.
