Filmed on four continents, featuring esteemed scientists, and working farmers and ranchers, Symphony of the Soil is an intriguing look at the role of healthy soil in creating healthy plants, healthy humans and a healthy planet. Drawing from ancient knowledge and cutting edge science, this artistic exploration illuminates the relationship between soil, water, the atmosphere, plants, animals, and people, with special focus on soil’s critical role in sequestering carbon to mitigate climate change. Deborah Koons Garcia is widely known for her 2004 documentary, The Future of Food, which focused on corporate domination of the food system and genetic engineering of food crops.
