2023 Annual Meeting, featuring Jean Willoughby of Agrarian Trust
The Berkshire Community Land Trust (BCLT) and Community Land Trust in the Southern Berkshires (CLTSB) held a joint annual membership meeting on the evening of Tuesday, December 5th via Zoom. The event included an update on our local Farmsteads for Farmers campaign, plus a guest presentation by Jean Willoughby of Agrarian Trust.
Agrarian Trust is a national, 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to expanding community ownership of farmland, developing legal tools, and fundraising to help communities hold land and lease to next-generation farmers on a long term, affordable basis.
Jean’s presentation, “Community Ownership of Land for an Equitable, Regenerative Future” focused on the role of working lands conservation as a multi-solution to social and racial equity as well as climate action. The recording can be viewed below.
